Does anyone can answer the simple question (issued from an enthusiastic but unexperienced user !)

Is it possible with the links script to have different links pages dealing with different topics in different areas of a single site ?
In this case the site has different areas of interest with dedicated and protected directories, hence different authorised users. My objective is using Links to open different pages in each directory.
