Max chars per line in links.db

Max chars per line in links.db
I'm attempting to create a custom Links database and need the answer to the following question.

What is the maximum amount of characters a links.db files can handle per line?

Example
ID|TITLE|||||||<-------- BIG CHUNK OF DATA --------->||||||
<----------------- X max characters ----------------------->

Will too many characters in a field cause Links to function improperly?

LMK

Thanks

This has been discussed before, search for links limit.

Thanks for the response but thats not the answer I was looking for. I did search plenty of times before for links limit, they all refer to the limit of the actual flat file. Yes I know that LINKS doesn't like the links.db file to be bigger than 1meg or have over 3000-5000 accounts. However thats not my question....

What I want to know is, does anyone know how Links will react to a field that contains say 20,000 characters? And will a field of that size FIT in the actual line of the flatfile ascii file (will it wrap, cut off, or cause Links to fail)?

I will only have about 200 accounts.

Thanks

Welp, you probably didn't search hard enough or gave up after the first page of link results in the forum search engine...

Anyway, typically, individual flat files cannot exceed 1.0 MG within flat file database system...do the math yourself.
