How large is the database file? If it is larger than 1 MG...then that is the problem. I have found that if the database file exceeds this amount, most or all records are deleted. This occurs with DBMAN and LINKS.

If the database size is not that large, then you need to install the codes in the FAQ that maintains the permission of 666 (rw-rw-rw-) of the links.db file.

Hi el,

I installed this mod when i first installed the script as default.

I have had problems with loosing entries since the file was 250K and now its upto 500K, so only half a Meg and im still getting problems.

I may suggest using the SQL version but i have installed a lot of modifications in the script will this conflict or cause problems??

I appreciate your time.

Most of the Mods written for LINKS 2.0 can be re-written to work in the LINKS SQL version.

Hi eliot,

Re-Written!! Oh that sound like hard work, why should they need to be re written, i thought SQL only dealt with the database and recalling of info.

I've listed the mods in use and hope you can tell me which ones would need changing.

Alt category select.
Category restriction,
Image rating Mod,
Yahoo Sub Categories,
Islinked (href on/off)
Logo and priority mod,

thats all i can think of at present.

Uh...yea...But to call the data from the MySQL tables, you need to use certain codes.

For examples, check out the LINKS SQL Forum.
