Invalid Date Format
I'm trying to add links (for the first time) and keep getting this error. Is there a way to fix it?

Yea, add the Date in the correct format via the admin.cgi script AND do not allow users to add the DATE field in the add.cgi script.

If you want to CHANGE the format, you need edit the DATE subroutines in the links.cfg file.

The STANDARD format is: dd-mmm-yyyy

Example: 9-Jun-2001

Want more info???

Search for Invalid Format Date

Okay, when I am adding the link via the admin page, the date is already up there in the format of 9-Jun-2001. I'm still getting the error.

I have done searches and heven't found anything helpful....:/..that's why I'm asking.

And for those new Links users...What did you do to "solve" the problem??? It is good to report back that you got something to work, but to help future generation of Links users, it would also help to report what you did to "fix" the problem.

Thank you....

I thought about that then forgot to do so. :)

I had created my links.cfg file using the automatic method available from pearlmad. I deleted that copy and redid it by hand and it worked so perlmad's method must have added something that knocked mine out of whack.

No the perlmad links.cfg generator doesn't add anything to the date routines and leaves them as their default.
