Inding script
hey Guys
I am looking for a script that can spider a specific domain and/or search engine for a specific keywords and then insert the results into validate.db.

Does anyone out there know about such a script, or can anybody write such a script and we can talk about money if needed?
I have seen gofetch script but it needs a lot of changes.

Let me know if yes at abdkat2aol.com

Guess you didn't look in the Resource Center or search the forums carefully enough....Tongue

There are two Mods that will do what you want:

1) goFetch - http://lookhard.hypermart.net/links-mods/

2) Spider Mod - In the Resource Center in the Links: Modifications section.

Hi Eliot
actually i did try both of them as i mentioned in the post. Shocked
the proble with gofetch it writes the Info in a strange way sorta like:
%%Site name%%URL%%description %%Keywords%%Size%%Spidering date%%Site name again

and as you see this is a way different than Links.

That is why i am still looking

As always Eliot Thanks a lot

Welp...those are the only two...and you only mentioned looking at the goFetch Mod...And if you are using the default version of links.def, then BOTH Mods will work...The Spider Mod which is DIFFERENT than goFetch is MORE flexible.

I am afraid i did try that one too. I am using it as a preview feature for the url in my directory.
It writes the code as :
Name.description.URl.Size.last update.

And that is it I tried to change gofetch but the author has a copy rights on it. So....

Thanks for the suggestions

So....

The copyright means that you cannot remove the copyright statement from the script and you cannot re-sell or re-distribute it, but you are able to change the configurations and structure of the script to fit your purposes.
