AS discussed MANY times in the Links forums...you need to use on the following methods:

1) .htaccess/.htpasswd.
2) ADMIN PASSWORD MOD (which is LINKED in THIS forum and in the Links 2.0 Customization Forum).

Don't know what 1) is??? Check your hosting company's online documentation about password protection OR search the LINKS forums for .htaccess OR read the FAQ in the Resource Center.
