Help! Links vs. DBMan for recipes
Hi,

I like to create a recipe database with the following criteria:

1) each recipe appears on its own page
2) visitors can search the database for a particular ingredient
3) I can see which recipes are "viewed" most frequently (like the "What's Cool" of Links)

Do you guys think it would be better to go with a searchable, detail-paged version of Links? Does DBMan offer something like "What's Cool"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Avern

It will be very easy to set up Links to do this. Just use detailed pages, add a few new fields (e.g., 'Recipe text', 'Suggested wine', 'Suitable for the dog', or whatever...), and make sure these fields are searchable.
Then, whenever someone searches for 'banana', they will get results no matter where 'banana' is mentioned in the database.

You really only want to use DBMan if you need more advanced search functions.

Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely try the Links route.

Thanks again!
