Hi all,

I was wondering if there was a place where I could get/download a general category/subcategory database (Yahoo-like) ?

It's not that I'm too lazy to build the database myself , actually I'm n a research project aiming at building an index page for users of an Intranet. Each Internet page they view should be automatically inserted into the database in the right place.

The real index will be built later so for the time being I'd be glad to use an existing one for testing purposes.

Nope...this has not been discusssed before. However, IMHO, I would recommend against this. If you plan on having your unique directory of resources, it would be a pain to modify the categories and links later on.

That is why it is best to plan out your directory first, then start building your categories and stick links in them.

BTW: For those that do not know what IMHO means, it stands for In My Humble Opinion.
