Dont know if u do believe me but I have in my validate this date showing up always:(



31-Dec-1969 how come this suddenly appears? the date in the server i am hosted is correct and if i put today a link it will show that up



Anyone know what happen? Did my links 2.0 get a ticket in the time machine?

Did you edit the get_date sub in the links.cfg file?

If so, then I would replace the lower section of your links.cfg file with the original file.

Also, has your ISP upgraded your Perl package? If they upgraded to Perl 5.06, then that could be a possible reason for the date problem.

Thanx for u reply ok! hmmm i dunno if they have or not updated. I dont know how to fix that actually u think u can gimme a hand or tell me what to fix. i am not very good ok i know where are files, i know perms, but to change .cgi no idea:(

First thing to do is check with your hosting company to see what version of Perl they are now using -OR- if you have access to your account via SSH or telnet, type in the following command:

perl -v

This will show what version of Perl is installed in the server where your account is installed/hosted.
