When building all my categories (links 2.0) it frequently stops in the middle and gets "killed" by my server. The server is obviously set to kill processes that take too long - fine.

Is there some way (mod maybe?) where I could choose which category(s) to build... i.e say I just want to Build my "Automobiles" category and not the whole thing...

Build staggered doesn't do what I want...

Use telnet...it is quicker and more efficient in terms of bandwidth and CPU usage.

No I don't, I just need to mod the code and let it know to start building the pages at a certain point because my server will kill any processes that go above XX seconds. I came to the forum wondering if someone had already made such a mod, since after searching through the message archives it seems to be a common problem.

I don't see what upgrading to the SQL version has anything to do with building the static HTML pages - Im not looking for speed here.
