Hello,

Today I install the links 2.00, when I try to Build All
Staggered, Staggered (Auto)- none of these are working. It shows the following messages:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

----------------------------------------------------

I am using Linux webhosting plan. Can anyone suggest me where I made a mistake?

Check nph-build.cgi and all the .cgi files are CHMODed to 755!!!

Most likely the server where your site is stored is not configured to parse or execute NPH (Non Parsed Header) files...

This has been addressed in the Links 2.0 Installation-UNIX forum where this type of Thread should be posted.

Search that forum for NPH.

Hello:

Thanks for advice me to find out the problem. I search the forum and fixed the problem. Now pages can build but when I try to see the index.html page of the directory, it shows this message:

Unkown Tag: Date

I am not sure what I should do...:(

in the globals section of site_html_templates.pl add Date => &get_date

or change <% Date %> to <% date %> WITHOUT THE SPACES......had to add them because of the forum.

You should only use <%Date%> in the link.html file. Other files should use <%date%>.

BTW: Using <%tag%> in the forums work JUST fine, PAUL! Guess he doesn't know how to use the forums.

BTW: I believe advertising in the forums is against Gossamer Threads use policy.

Thanks youradds but just ignore Anthro, I made a post about him not being made moderator even after 17,000 posts and the truth obviously hurts because he has since edited that post above to try and have a dig at me.......

The dig at me advertising and the row of date tags are newly added.

I think it is quite sad really that he wastes his time editing a post to just list a row of date tags....especially when it wasnt likely that I'd see it as editing a post does not send an email to me.

MY SINCERE APOLOGIES TO EVERYONE FOR SPEAKING PUBLICALLY LIKE THIS BUT SOME THINGS JUST HAVE TO BE SAID...and I believe I am not the only one who thinks this way.....everyoneone should be allowed to speak their mind.

And yes...I have placed a link to my new website in my signature...SO SUE ME....Anthro...seeing as you obviously have hours of spare time on your hands, why don't you count the number of signatures that include a link to a website and accuse them of advertising too!

Nope, i can't either, maybe Anthro could direct us to it (lol). Also, have you ever noticed that the FAQ menu is written twice when you are logged out (in the green menu bit, you know the Main Index | Search etc bit). I just noticed it when looking for the TOS!!!
