This is baffling me. I can't seem to get the templates to work.

I have this set in the links.cfg file: $build_use_templates = 1;

It's using my home.html file because changes in that file are showing up, but it keeps putting headers into black backround table rows. I've changed the links.css style sheet, but no luck. I've double-checked all my directory paths in the links.cfg file, and everything seems to be fine. I even browsed through the site_html.pl file, but that doesn't seem to be the source of the problem.

Anyone have an idea?

I suggest start over with a fresh set a templates, and work your way back to desired design slowly. That's all I can say without seeing your templates or viewing your site.
