I had no problem with date untill now. The links.cfg is still untuched.

Looks like your Local.pm is an older version. I would recommend asking your hosting company to upgrade their Perl modules OR you can search the Links 2.0 Installation Forum for Local.pm where I provided some advice about resolving date related problems.
