Hello, I've gone through all the boards and have read multiple articles discussing this, but all seem to have the same problem. Where can bookmarks.pl be found?

Is there another way of importing bookmarks or favorites into Links 2.0 ? I understand that there should be information to be added to the database, still should be much easier than entering all by hand.

Any comments on this would really be appreciated.

Actually I spent the entire day yesterday reading through The ressources and forums... and found a few leads such as finding out that bookmark.pl is in the Link1.1 distribution. That wasen't mentionned anywhere :(

But there is no documentation on the process of converting a Netscape bookmark to a Links 2 format. So I'm guessing its a complicated process...

What I did do however is use:

> boomark.pl bookmarks.htm > link.db
> upgrade.pl link.db (which created link2.db 1455 links & 289 folders)

So from that, all I have to do now is create:

categories.db (heartbreaking)
categoryid.txt (easy)
links.db (easy)
linksid.txt (easy)
url.db (Unknown)

Anyone have suggestions?
