I'd like to run banner ads (for some of my affilaite sites) in my directory.

So far I've been able to add a banner to the home page and a different banner to all the subsequent pages within categories. I've done this by simply altering the html in the templates of 'index' and I think 'category'.

Is it possible to alter the banner within the catagories section dependent on which category (and sub-section/pages) is being viewed?

eg

I have five catagories, number 1 to 5. I'd like banner ad number 1 to appear when someone views category 1 but banner ad number 2 to appear when someone views category 2 etc etc

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a mod for search terms integrated with AdvertPRO(http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...ces/jump.cgi?ID=1182), but I'm not sure about having different banners.

Hi,

I use webadverts and set up different zones to correspond to my different categories. Then, I put the webadverts code with the appropriate zone into the header or footer of the corresponding category. Works like a dream. You'll probably need to modify the header and footer to accept longer chunks of code. Off the top of my head, I can't remember what file that is. However, you can find webadverts at http://awsd.com/scripts/webadverts/
