Here's a brief excerpt from an error I received while building after adding several categories. I think there may have been some glitches with the server today, but just in case anyone has seen a similar error...

did you mod nph-build.cgi?

or does someone on your server have really bad programming..

usually the problem is fixed after a reboot.. but it means that simply there are too many programs running with a file open.. the odds are really high.. but on busy servers it happens.. it shouldn't KEEP happening..

if someone doesn't put close FILEHANDLE; after the file then it won't close unless the perl script it exited or killed by the server..

I should have mentioned that it happened a couple of times, but worked just fine in between. I was also getting some internal server errors while adding links, so there was probably something going on behind the scenes.

I didn't make any changes to nph-build.cgi, so that shouldn't affect things any.

As I'm not a programmer, I won't comment on anyone's bad programming. However, it does sound like there may have been a runaway script.
