I would like to link through affiliate programs to other search engines but I am running into some problems.

1. When I add a search box for Altavista for example I added <%term%> to the search box. This works fine for single words buy it adds a between other words and this confuses the other search engines. Is there a work a round for this?

2. How do i do the affiliate coding for just plain text links. I am mainly working with reporting.net/linkshare.com/cj.com

1) You should use <%query%>.

2) For text links, you copy the query string from other search engines and then replace the keyword value (or whatever parameter the search engine uses) with <%term%>.
