What are the permissions of your database files: links.db, categories.db?

There is an FAQ in the Resource Center that discusses how to add codes into your nph-build.cgi file that will maintain the permissions of the links.db file to rw-rw-rw (666).
Also, it is best to build your directory via telnet if you have access to it. Even better is to use Cron for UNIX and AT Scheduler for NT that will automatically re-build your index.
