400 error when building pages
Hello,
when I try to build the link pages with the nph-build.cgi, I get a 404 error (server doesn't send data). What can I do know? Thanks for you help :)

Is this anew set-up, or a prviously functioning one? Are you using the build function from the admin? The more you can tell us, the easier it will be to resolve the problem...

Hello,
it's a new setup, no update and I use the build function from the admin area, but if I open the CGI directly with my browser I get the same error message. I run the script on a Linux Apache server.

nph-build.cgi cannot be read from the web, it is not an html page. It is a script called from the admin to do a specific job (build). Are your pages building as they should when you run the script from admin?

No, the same error appears when I click the build link in the admin menu.

So, you can get into your admin? Check that nph-build.pl is set to CHMOD 755. When it's not, it usually gives a 500 internal server error, but look anyway. Then verify your settings in links.cfg; read this page for more info:

Hey,

I also get 400 error with nph-build.cgi, nph-verify.cgi and nph-email.cgi files. Please help me what should I do. all files are chmod to 755.

A 404 means that the requested page could not be found.

Are you sure you have all your paths set right in links.cfg?

400 Bad Request

The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications.


I would help more, but I have not experienced this problem myself, so I am not familiar with how to fix it.Unimpressed

Im doing fresh install..
I've just modified links.cfg.. and nph* files are chmod to 0755. anymore info???..

help...
