"Strange: Operation not permitted" when doing a build all
Just wondering if this is important for anything.. I haven't seen any errors yet, but it's worrying.

All that means is that Links could not copy the files to the backup directory using the Linus/UNIX "cp" file. Instead, Links had to open the database files as input, open backup copies for output, then read from input and write to output each line of each database file, in order to make the backup.

This is indicative of a problem with permissions. Either the admin/backup directory is not chmod 777, or all admin/data files are not chmod 666.

Regardless, the backup did take place and it was not a real problem.

can it be relevant that all the files that are generatet by the cgi script is user and group nobody?

I have to talk to the website admin to get it straightened out.

Again thanks for quick answers.

If the permissions on the admin/data and admin/backup directory are chmod 777 and the permissions on all files in the admin/data directory are 666, then it should not matter what the userid/groupid are.
