have you searched for this? I believe someone came up with it not too long ago.

well, maybe you should have limited the search to only show results from the Links Customization board.
Took 1 second, search term "online" show posts only by "PerlFreak" like Paul said above. It was the first result at the top of the page. Anyway,

Well I should have make myself clearer. I am looking for a WHO'S ONLINE that works like in the forum and show who is looking at what.

The script you are talking about displays the number of people online but that's it, it doesn't show who is looking at what like in the forum.

As far as i know, no there are not any mods that do this. Seeing as how you don't have to signup to add, modify, etc.. like in Links SQL. But cookies would be the way to go.

Cookies wouldn't work as it would only show where you are on the site, not anyone else.

so most likely a user registration thing then.

On the forum Who's online works for "guests" that's non registered people and the script displays what page they are looking at, this should work for links 2.

obviously there is no mandatory user registration for the script to work, right?

That is correct...there is no mandatory registration for the forum, however, in order to take advantage of featurtes, like seeing "new posts" and receiving email updates among others, it is best to use a registration system....
