This has been a question of mine for some time, but now I have only got around to asking.

Does any of you Links experts know if its possible to allow two or more web sites to use the same Links database.

Basically I am thinking along the lines that the database is stored in one location, (like a data warehouse) and then when visitors to the two web sites do a search it goes to the data warehouse to get it's matches and information.

The system is currently based around Links 1.11 database design which I would like to stick with for a while longer.

Language Links works so. You have only one links.db (and some other fieles) but use this for more different language pages.

if this is what you want you could download at www.ford-network.at/LanguageLinks1b1.zip

should work for you, cause you could also install the different pages on different servers.

Hello!

in the links.cfg you edit :

# Referers -- which hosts are allowed to add to your database.
@db_referers = ();

for e.g.

@db_referers = ('gossamer-threads.com,'qqq.com','*.com');


I beleive this should work!

I am not sure though.
