Why is it that a background image in a table does not show up in my links program?
i.e. <TABLE BACKGROUND="http://domain.com/image.gif">

The links 2.0 program is located at http://links.soccerfansnetwork.com; please compare that with any other section of the site (i.e. Home, Network, News, etc...). You'll notice that the top logo does not appear properly because the table background fails to load. Also, please notice the absence of the left menu background (the grey on the left).

If you remove or comment out the links stylesheet, the background images load. The doctype declaration at the top of the page is also causing some vertical white space for me as well.

I tried (though I must say I'm not very skilled with CSS) to override the stylesheet without any success. I created a style class for the table and used style properties in-line, but neither worked unless the links stylesheet was commented out.

My suggestion is to look through links.css and locate the problem (if you're so inclined), or forget about using it alltogether because that stylesheet doesn't really blend well with your design (IMO).

Many thanks; I had no idea the style sheet would interfere with a background image! Anyway, I had to reinstall the Links program after moving servers, so the look you see isn't final (I agree about the look not matching the design). Thanks again!
