I've followed all the instructions available for the install of Links Expirator. The problem is that i cant find the location of the file admin.cfg (they say in the install: "Just copy the file into the same location as admin.cfg and rename it to nphexpirator.cgi"). I presumed is a typo and install&chmod it(755) nhpexpirator.cgi into the admin dir.

I followed at letter all the rest of install, but there is still a bug somewhere, because I did a test: I added a link and fixed the expiery date at 1 day. Hmm, after 2 days the link was still there.. why..?

Did you execute the expirator script???

If not, run it via your web browser. I would suggest setting up a crontab to run this script, so that you do not have to manually execute the script.
