cause you could use the expirator of LLinks for stand alone (without LLinks).

I think: why should other people code again a mod which is already done. It's enough if anyone do the simple changes which must be done from LLinks to Links 2.0

I've been going through the Expirator for Links v1 code and, from what I have seen, it would be much easier to write a new one for Links v2 than to try and adapt the one for v1. Sadly, I do not have the time right now to take on that project.

However, if anyone else wants to tackle it, it really shouldn't be difficult to do, just a bit time consuming. You would need to create some template files, create a new script similar to nph-email.cgi, add code to admin_html.pl to call the new script and do the forms, and add a new field to the links database. Not all that difficult, as I said.

may be you know something about setting up the paths within the cgi-files. this is the only thing you need to change at nph-expirator.cgi from LLinks.

you could setup this mod as same as the one for links v1. you only need to use the nph-expirator.cgi from LLinks instead of the original of this mod.

in links.def set
$db_expirator= ID
ID should be the fieldnumber of the field with the expiration date.

even though i am german myself, i have difficulties to get along with llinks as i just dont really understand your instructions. as i think this is a great script, why not ask anyone on the board to help you to brush up the instructions to better english, that would help. its allways

Did anyone get this "Expirator" mod form LLinks working?

I do not want to implement the whole LLinks, since I have already done substantial amount of modification. But I would like to implement just the Expirator (nph-expirator.cgi) and wanted to see if it is a feasible solution.
