Error 500 when using Newsletter
I get an internal server error 500 when I use Newsletter from the Administration Menu. Everything else works fine. What files and directorys are involved when Links sends out a newsletter, maybe I missed to chmod a fil or a directory? Iīm using templates for my site.

Thanks!

What happens if you use debug mode? Do you still get the Internal Server Error? If not, then it is not the script and is more like your MAIL (sendmail or SMTP) program causing the error. Be sure you have configured Links to use one or the other, but not both and that it is correctly specified (links.cfg).

I hope this helps.

I get the internal server error 500 already after I press the link "Newsletter" from the Administation Menu, so I canīt get to debug mode.

The problem started when I installed the mod "Change Newsletter URL's", http://www.webmasters-resources.com/links/newsletter_mod.html

After I installed this mod I got an internal server error 500 so I reinstalled my backup files but I still canīt get it to work!?

Check for any typos. In other words, go back through the mod instructions and check everything against what you have on your system. Look for anything that is missing or a } where a ) should be or vice versa.

Make sure all your scripts were uploaded in ASCII mode and that they all point to the same location of Perl on your system.

I hate those Infernal Server Errors.

Problem solved!

I just copied back the original sub build_email_list and sub build_new_links in the file db_utils.pl.

I think I missed an } or something.

Thanks!!
