I loved the idea of email updates in Links 2.0, but I didn't want to have to rebuild everything to swtich to 2.0

So..., I decided to make my own "MOD" that will send email updates. It loos really similar to Alex's except you must have SSI andany mailing list script. If you want to know how to do this, let me know.

Ok.

First thing you need to do is get a mailing list program. I use Subscribe Me (http://cgi.elitehost.com/) because it's free and very simple. I can't promise this MOd will work with any other mailing list manage because I haven't tested, but I'm sure it would.

Once you have configured things with that, create a .shtml vesion of the form to send the mail. Then put that in your root DIR, or anywhere you want.

Next, follow the instructions here:

After you have gotten all the Links part set up, go back to the Mail form page.

Configure the message part of the form so the default will be:
