on my yahoo templet if i put a description for a category on the main page it centers it and inserts a <BR> under that. where do i edit this? can anyone help?

Are you trying to enter the description directly into the HTML template? You should enter the category description from the admin section. The formatting (centering, blank lines, indents, etc.) is set at the bottom of site_html_templates.pl in sub site_html_print_cat.
