Banners and Subdomain

Banners and Subdomain
Hello-

First let me explain the setup... The main domain is www.mcmcse.com. There is a subdomain that points to http://www.mcmcse.com/tech/links/. Inside this directory there is a cgibin where the Links scripts live. Webadverts is located at http://www.mcmcse.com/cgibin/banner/webadverts. I have installed the mod to display banners on Links pages using SSI. It works fine on the CGI generated pages when calling them with <ºnner%>, but doesn't work(no ad displayed) on any of the .shtml pages. I am wondering if the problem is that the webadverts is further up the directory structure than the techtutorials subdomain points to or maybe my paths are off. How would I call the banners in this situation?

Thanks for the help...

OK... After a couple of weeks of trying, I figured it out and thought I should post the answer in case anyone else runs into this... I made a copy of ads.pl and placed it in the cgibin of the subdomain. The ads.pl configuration variables all point to the cgibin on the master domain. On the links pages I then called the ads.pl that was located in the local subdomain cgibin(which points to the other cgibin) and it works great..

I also discovered that this problem has nothing to do with links whatsoever and really is a problem with understanding Perl and SSI...
