I'm running a banner ad across the footer of each page in my site. The banner ad requires a number to be generated for each page. Is there any easy way to do this?

I tried to add a 'counter' into globals, but it looks like globals are only set once for all pages generated. I need a way to generate a number for EACH page generated.
