smtp authentication & catchall

smtp authentication & catchall
Greetings,

We are running Gossamer mail on a dedicated server. We are using the catchall account to pull in gossamer mail. The server requires smtp authentication to relay messages. I am wondering how to set that up since we are using the catchall account.

Thanks,

Bob

Isn't that working? If you have incoming.pl running every few minutes, that should be enough to keep it authenticated to allow Gossamer Mail to send mail through it.

Adrian, it probably is working... My mistake. Now that I have studied the error message I am guessing that the local ISP (comcast) has started to refuse to relay. You know of any way to get around this? Seems like for the sake of lightening the load on our server that using the comcast smtp is not a bad thing but it is confusing for our users. Why would comcast block the relay for several hours a day then allow the relay for the rest of the day?
