Please accept my apologies if this has already been discussed, but I cannot find any discussion on the subject.

I need to "inject" postings directly into the database, primarily to migrate another forum to Gossamer. I will also periodically post news articles. I hate to reverse-engineer this, so I am looking for info on how to do this.
