New mail notification
Heya all,

Has anyone written a global or have an idea for how to create a "new mail" notification for v 2.1? Would be nice if this could be included on any other page (i.e. the homepage) via SSI.

I'm specifically interested in new mail since the user last checked his/her mail. Being able to simple check for "unread" messages is OK but a bit less useful.
