limit 1000 not in build_span_pages ?
Hello all,

Static mode:
If i use $LINKS{build_span_pages} = 1; $LINKS{build_links_per_page} = 50; and have 2500 links in 1 category will there be a problem with the limiet off 1000?

Or i'll only get problems if i don't use build_span_pages ?

Dynamic mode:
I use only the same build_span_pages as static mode but i see it's limieted by 1000 links. Can i change the limiet too 3000 for displaying the catpages ? Or isn't that possible ?

Allready thanks.

Regards Startpoint.

The build process will stop after 1000 links in the category. Either break up your category into sub-categories or reduce the number of links in that category.

Thanks Eliot.

I changed the limit to 2000. But because i use build_span_build i don't have any problems for now. I only have to build it in telnet now because the time-out thing.

I don't wanna split or reduce the number of links. I tested it with 1900 links and it works fine because the category pages are splits in 50 link per page.

I quess i don't have to try this on a virtual server :).

Uh...virtual server will not give you any ideal results you are looking for. Your best bet is to use TELNET all the time to build your directory.

I know it was sort of a joke, never mind Smile!..

I will use telnet to build the directory on my dedicated server.
You know it's using about 95% cpu when i start building it:)...

Another suggestion is to apply Alex404's Staggered Build Mod codes.
