I currently have a couple of mods running, however one is giving me a little trouble in that I would like to use the 'span pages' function that the Categories build uses.

The one that is giving me trouble is my Recommended Programs area that I have. It builds okay (have been running it for a long time), however as I list over 3,000 programs, I have over 100 recommended programs and this page obviously takes some considerable time to download!

I am trying to find a way that I can span pages, similar to the way categories are built. I imagine I have to edit the html templates file as well as nph-build.cgi, but can't for the life of me work out where/how to paste the code to make this work in the sub build_recommended section.

If anyone has any ideas I would be eternally grateful!

Best thing to do would be to take the category page routine (probably from page.cgi) and edit it to make it fit into nph-build.cgi as the sub reccommended routine.

I've always found it's easier to clone an existing routine than to try to write one from scratch. It's easier to remove lines of extra code than to remember to put them all in. :)

Basically, don't try to add the span pages routines to your new subroutine, turn the working routine that uses them into your new subroutine <G>
