When sending mass mail using the newsletter function, what happens to the messages that are undeliverable? If they are being sent to a specific email address, which file contains this information and how do I change it?

Also, when a request to subscribe is made, the email address is automatically added to the database without a confimation. Is there a setting I can use to cause an email address signing up to confirm prior to adding them to the database? If so, which files would need modified and how?

If my questions aren't clear, please let me know and I'll try to be more specific. Thank you for your help.

Most likely if you are on a virtual server, then the emails are bounced to a central root email account...like root@hostingcompany.com.

I would recommend contacting your hosting company for more info.
