I use Links SQL. I want to change some of the templates. According to the instruction in Template Help, I need to "make sure $build_use_templates is turned on in links.cfg". I searched all over my server and could not find this file. Can someone tell me why and where is the file?

I think that is for links 2.0, not Links SQL.

It was probably just copied over, and no one noticed.

Just edit your templates. You'll be fine.

NOTE: If you want to edit templates via the Links Admin, you need to make sure the permissions in the template directory are set to 777 because your edits are done at the permissions of the server (usually "nobody").

Many (most?) edit their templates in their favorite editor then just FTP them over to the template directory.

Thank you for your reply. I just got my Links SQL installed and Template Help file tells me to look for a links.cfg file. It is the help file in Links SQL, not in Links 2.0. The information there is very misleading. I spent half a day searching for this file. I cannot find too much documentation for this product. I am totally in the dark. Thanks for your help!
