I know this is a newbe question, and I know its been discussed in the forum before. But can someone give me a step by step guide on how to add a new field to my database (I want it to show in the admin screen as well as the database itself). I managed to do this using Links v2, is it a similar process?

would be useful. I tried to add a field isDMOZ with a Yes/No and it gave me no end of errors (ie i couldn't duplicate something like isNew) when i finally got it going the form for selecting in admin was about 10 lins long and was not the drop down box...

You just add these through the Admin/tables/addfield option.

Once you add a field, it's visible in the Admin, and can be used as a <%fieldname%> tag in the templates.

There really isn't anything more to it.

Once you add it, go to the AlterTable option, and set the defaults to make it look like the other fields you already have.
