Clarification needed on search boolean

Clarification needed on search boolean
Hi folks, I just wanted to clarify that NO work around has been found yet to set the default search method to "AND" instead of "OR"?

I refer to the most recent post on this that I could find:

No, I haven't found a way around that, but using:

+word -word1 -word3

works.

So if you change the search directions on the advanced search page, to explain the +/- syntax, you can get AND searches.

It works on the sites I've tried it on.

I found that didn't work for me sorry; it just returned all links with "word" in them.

I find +word +word1 +word3 tends to work but I have found that a really wacky thing happens when one of these words is something like in,of,the,on,all, and,or. For some reason when one of these words is in the search term it displays no matches! I checked that these words are actually in the links text and they were. Does Links SQL have some sort of search word filter somewhere?

Yes, Links doesn't index 1 or 2 letter words or any words in the "stop words" list.
