I have links with detailed pages and links without them.

When I build, ALL the links without detailed pages are at the top from A-Z and after them, the links with detailed pages come, again from A-Z.

How can I get ALL of them from A-Z without caring if they have detailed pages or not?

I don't understand this.

The sort problem is with alt categories and links, not with detailed pages.

I have the same thing on my site -- but I let people know if a detailed page exists or not, and if it does they can jump to it. My links are pretty mixed up.

The detailed pages do not have a URL... could this be the problem?

If what you mean by a "detail page" is the entry in the URL line, this would only be a problem if you were sorting on the URL.

All the blank URL's would be at one end, and the others would be either before or after.

I want to sort by Title, not by URL. This is what I have:

$LINKS{build_sort_order_category} = "isNew,isPopular,Title,";

How can I tell Links NOT to sort by URL ?

Mhh... Is there a "default" sorting for the links in the category pages?

It's not sorting by URL. If you just want to sort by Title, just leave Title in the sort order field.
