Has anyone else noticed that URL links starting with "ftp://" or a link with an underscore "_" is reported as bad under the Status?

The "_" is reported as 302 - Found, but data resides under different URL (add a /)

The "ftp://ftp.site.com.zip" is reported as -5 - Bad URL format

Anyone know if or when this is suppose to be fixed? It's GREATLY effecting my ability to weed out bad URL links our site members (over 490000) add.

Hi,

The link checker currently can not check ftp links, so they are marked as bad. We are looking at implementing that into the program.

As for underscores, a link that starts with a '_' is bad. It should start with http:// or am I not understanding?

Actually, it's a URL with an underscore.
For example: http://someserver.com/XY_Z/index.htm

Can you give me some real examples? A 302 status code means the server did a redirect to get to the final location. It doesn't mean the link is automatically bad though.

Here's an example of one that reports a 302:

http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/wolfsrudel/index.htm

And another that reports a 6:
http://417_squad.homestead.com/

Both links work ok.
