i'm interested in developing a directory, and i would like to parse the DMOZ files into my site. i heard that there is module included in Links SQL that copies the dmoz rdf files to my site, but i do not have the money to buy Links SQL. Is there any other way i can parse the Open Directory files into my site?

You can use one of the many free scripts that uses ODP data.

If you go to hotscripts.com or cgi-resources.com and search for ODP you will find quite a few scripts that will do what you want - also no data is stored on your server using these scripts so it saves webspace too.

thanks, but i was actually looking for scripts that DO transfer data to my server. I am actually building my own search engine, but i need the existing data on DMOZ as a starting point.
