i would like to know can LINKS SQL work as a Content management system.

we are looking for a good CMS application for managing our content like articles etc directory wise, also is it possible to use it on one portion of site as picturegallery, on content side of site as article manager, somewhere as business directory..

in case we need modification, what would be modification level.

Yeah, it should be able to. If you integrate yogi's PageBuilder plugin too, that would certinly be a good addition if you want to run a CMS style site.

On a related note, can Links break a article to span multiple pages? I'm thinking of using Links as a CMS for a tutorials/articles site as well, but need this feature.

I'm not sure if GT have anything up their sleves, but as far as I know this isn't currently possible. I would imagine that you could do it via a Plugin though.

Hi,

Not out of the box no. However, if you are using dynamic pages this would be fairly easy to do. You could add extra columns for each page, and then in the template for the detailed page, just create links to the same URL but passing in page=2, and use template tags to control which field is displayed.

Could you tell me how you use the three installations. I see you have news and events and a directory. Are those the three installations?

- Business Directory
- News
- Events

Plugins includes:
- PageBuilder x 3
- AdvertPro Plugin
- MyLinks2
- SearchLogger

along with a number of customized plugins
