Distessingly, someone working with us deleted the MySQL and test databases that were created when MySQL was installed. I understand that the MySQL db affects user access information. Now, this was a recent install, so the user db isn't a problem that we lost it. But what are the steps to go about fixing the problem? I tried to do mysql_install_db, and the databases were re-created, but I get a "ERROR 1017: Can't find file: './mysql/user.frm' (errno: 13)" when trying to use the GRANT option.
Cnay anyone help, and will this affect links?
