What does this mean ( from setup>Search Options) or actually what does this do? My results are so crappy when users search. We have tons of results and they just aren't getting them. I need to fix something.

Search Substring On/Off

You should check what kind of database indexing you use. The correct results depend on this.

Seen this question come up gagain and again.
What keeps me confused is that why doesn't the installer set the most recommended indexing or is it that it is not possibe to set that right at start?
