Is there an easy way to restore the default templates?

I wish there was a button withingt he templates pages where you could restore default templates.

You should be able to FTP them using the original set on your local machine - shouldn't take too long

In addition, you could also FTP them to ...admin/templates/default/backup/ so you can quickly restore them using drag-and-drop from your FTP client (if it allows).

That would be a dangerous button.

I put a zip of the template files on the FAQ site, so people who wanted the original set could get them easily.

It doesn't have to be dangerous. I am using vBulletin, and it has the "restore" button on every template, along with a "view default" button.

Guess I have to get used to a new style.

pugdog: I tried downloading and it downloaded as "jump.cgi" and was filled with jibberish letters.

Doesn't seem right.

I don't have a local install of the templates becasue I had gossamers install it for me.

can anyone help? I need a set of the original tempates.

Thanks. Ya know, it downloaded fine in netscape. I had been trying in IE (and just tried again) and it downloaded as "jump.cgi" and was not a series of text files...

Now I have an archived version! Yeah.

Worked fine for me in IE 5.0 and 5.5.
