reindex search

reindex search
Hi,

I have 60,000 links and I once emptied my links_score_list and links_word_list table. so I have to reindex my links. I never had a chance to finish the indexing procedure even under shell since limited timeout (20 min).

I have a question about the index process. If I didn't finish index the first time, when I run index again, will it skip what it has indexed in the first run? If this is true, I can run multiple index command to go through my 60,000 links.

Thanks,

Yanz

No.

It starts out by emptying the tables, and starting fresh.

Alex offered a solution for the builds, but I'm not sure that would work for the indexing.

This is another one I'll have to defer to Alex.

Hi,

Pugdog is right, it will reindex everytime. Trying to figure out what hasn't been indexed is not trivial.

Cheers,

Alex
