path interpretation help
I wonder where "community/community.cgi" is located?? I did the obvious thing and searched for community.cgi in fileman, but it didn't come up.

FYI, I am working with a very limited field of view; the site owners are not giving me shell access.

Given that I have no shell access, how can I determine where community/community.cgi is found? will I be able to edit that file?

related question: why does the url come up /docs/e/index.html? I figured e is for "english" which is one language the site is in. BUt, again, in fileman I cannot find a docs directory. Is this, too, outside fileman's scope because it is perhaps in DocumentRoot not in whaterver /cgi-bin/ is aliased to?

Hi.

community.cgi is normally put alongside the other installed.. i.e;

cgi-bin/links/page.cgi
cgi-bin/community/community.cgi

This folder is normally put in a non-web-accessable folder (i.e if your root is /home/user/domain.com/public_html, then it could go in /home/user/domain.com/secure_stuff).

Hope that helps :)
