Hi,

I would to like to transfer my installation of links to another server.
Knowing that:
- I have changed some templates
- I have added or modified some fields of the tables
- I have hacked parts of the code.

I think it would be dificult to do it with a new installation on the new server. Am I right?

I was thinking to:
- Move all files on html and cgi folders of the new server
- dump the database and create it on the new server
- modify the configuration (paths, database access) from the panel admin on the new server.

Is it OK? Do I need to do something else?

Hi Vercyb,

I think there are other things. Modify all cgi file change the old path/to/admin to new path/to/admin. There are two places in each cgi file. And permission of these cgi file should be 755.
