link-copy possible?

link-copy possible?
Hi,

I'm using one of my lsql-licenses for a holiday-home-page and therefore I have to fill in a lot of stuff by myself. Sometimes, if more houses have the same owner, some fields are repeating several times.

It's a little bit stupid to fill in two or three times the same things as adress, season-dates, prices and so on. Is there a way to copy the value of the fields to the next new entry when I fill them in my admin?

Kai

If they are exactly the same, you can set the fields to default values in the properties menu for the links and then go back and change them to null after you are finished, if they are different, suggest using Andy's data import plugin...

sure, that's the way, but changing all default values is more work than typing some times the same ...

But I will take a look at the data-import-plugin.

Have you tried clicking on the 'back' button in your browser after you have added a record? If the fields are still filled in I think you might be able to 'add' it again and it will be a new link.

Hi afinlr,

then you have to change the ID, but this is in the standard-version not possible ...

In Links 2.0 the ID was in an input-field, but in lsql not.

Did you actually try this? I've just done it and it worked fine. The ID is assigned when you click on 'add' - so if you click it again it adds a new link with a new ID.

yes ... I guess you're right ... in Links 2.0 the ID was given by clicking on "new entry" but in lsql not ... I will try it ...
